STRUCTURE NEARING COMPLETION
This native hybrid house construction project is moving along very nicely. With only about 6 weeks of time gone by, the structure itself is nearing completion. The concrete hollow block walls are all up on the ground floor and the wood framing of the second floor has been completed. We have put in the roughing for the plumbing, poured the floor for the second floor washroom and also started the steel stud framing of the second floor exterior walls. Also complete is the steel skeleton for the spiral staircase.
The client has made some changes and decided to go with the addtional bedroom on the ground floor and redesign the washroom so that entry can be made from the additional bedroom, instead of only from the exterior.
We are also progressing with the roofing which is going to be native nipa with cogon perimeter, covered by nylon netting to reduce the effects of wind uplift.
